This site was created by Charles Harris to help others learn the basics of a healthy lifestyle … specifically, an “insulin friendly” healthy lifestyle. Charles believes focusing on insulin is the best way to keep one’s health and cell function in top shape, as well as controlling one’s appetite, weight, cravings, mental abilities, and overall performance.

Charles Harris, J.D.

Charles Harris is a frequent quest lecturer at local hospitals, schools, and associations, speaking on the topic of preventing chronic diseases. As a younger man living in San Francisco, Charles waged a never ending battle to control his weight. While he enjoyed good health, normal blood pressure, and glucose levels, as he turned age 50 he was diagnosed with a fatty liver and at times, had trouble swimming for more than 20 minutes. Years of study followed, and as one might say, got his medical education at the YouTube & Google Centers for Advanced Studies.

Over the past several years, Charles has been invited to present his “insulin friendly” healthy lifestyle at the Thai National Conference on Nutrition. During the conference, Charles met with many health professionals to discuss news ways to prevent diabetes, metabolic syndrome, Alzheimer’s, hypertension, and many other chronic diseases. While he advises many people to control their weight, he is quick to emphasize that a healthy lifestyle never should set losing weight as the target goal, but rather to understand and develop healthy lifestyle changes which boost overall cell function, hormone balance, and metabolic function … and the weight will take care of itself. Charles presented what he believes to be the first “insulin assay” in Asia, specifically correlating insulin and glucose levels over a whole day, giving credit to Dr. Joseph R. Kraft, M.D., Dr. Jason Fung, M.D., Dr. Jeffry Gerber, M.D., Dr. Tim Noakes, M.D., & Ivor Cummins, Ch.E., for their pioneering research and efforts to apply logic and analysis to health, prevention of chronic diseases, and the role of chronic elevated insulin levels. The study can be read here..

Currently, Charles is a health expert and consultant for the Medical Center at the Thailand House of Parliament. In 2016, he conducted a seminar for the officials and staff working at the parliament. During the seminar, he presented a number of medical opinions from doctors, researchers, and professors relating to nutrition, exercise, stress reduction, and the benefits of modulating insulin and glucagon (which he calls “GG”) for restoring cell signaling.

Charles keeps a busy schedule running a healthy lifestyle center, organic farm, sourdough bakery, an ozone water treatment factory, and promoting the concept of treading water in one’s private exercise pool.

Charles was graduated from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. For over 20 years, he was in private practice in San Francisco specializing in franchise and business matters. He was the subject of national headlines for his representation of dealers and franchisees. Charles holds an Airline Transport Rating (ATP) and flew his own airplane, a Cessna 441 Conquest II, which he used to visit clients throughout the United States and Canada.

While Charles is quick to acknowledge the fine education he was provided on the way to receiving a Juris Doctor, there was one glaring subject and specifically one word that never was discussed – not even mentioned – but a word with such a profound role in the health and productivity of every professional, parent, worker, or even student … the subject of “insulin” and its importance to the health and well-being of every human being. Charles adds that insulin sensitivity should be a topic discussed as early as grade school and expounded upon at every educational level.
